Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
How it works
Trismol-Forte Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

Frequently asked questions
How much Trismol-Forte Suspension should I give to my child?
Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage, frequency, and the type of medication prescribed for your child. The recommended dose will be determined by the strength of the medicine and age of your child. It is important to read the label or leaflet inside the packaging before administering any medication. Consult your child's physician if you have questions about dosage.
When will my child’s condition improve after taking Trismol-Forte Suspension?
Trismol-Forte Suspension usually starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of intake and its full effect is typically seen within 3 to 4 hours. You may see an improvement in your child's symptoms after a few doses. However, if the pain or fever persists longer than expected, consult your child’s doctor immediately.
Can I give Trismol-Forte Suspension to my child for a low-grade fever?
It is not recommended to administer Trismol-Forte Suspension if the fever is less than 38.3°C (101°F). Always seek professional advice from your child's doctor before administering this medication.
My child’s fever is persistent even after taking Trismol-Forte Suspension. What should I do?
If the fever does not decrease with initial doses, a possible infection (virus or bacteria) may be present. It is advisable to seek immediate advice from your child's doctor for proper treatment.
How much of Trismol-Forte Suspension is considered an overdose?
The total daily dosage of Trismol-Forte Suspension should not exceed four doses in 24 hours. A minimum interval of 4 to 6 hours should be maintained between each dose. Do not administer the medicine for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor. More than 250 mg/kg can lead to toxicity and potentially fatal consequences. Overdose may cause serious liver and kidney damage.
Is there any special diet my child needs to follow while taking this medicine?
Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, maintain a regular balanced diet for your child throughout the course of medication as nutritional deficiency can increase the risk of medication toxicity.
Where should I store this medicine?
Store Trismol-Forte Suspension at room temperature in a dry, safe location, out of reach of children.
In what conditions must Trismol-Forte Suspension be given with caution?
Trismol-Forte Suspension should be used with caution if your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or any known drug allergy. It is essential to inform your doctor about all your child's medical history before administering this medicine.
Can I give Trismol-Forte Suspension on a routine basis when my child is taking a vaccine?
Trismol-Forte Suspension does not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause adverse reactions in children who have recently received one. It is, however, best to let your child recover from the ongoing illness and complete the course of medication before administering any vaccine.
