Torq SR 4 Capsule is used in the treatment of overactive bladder. It relieves urinary symptoms like frequent urination, urgent need to urinate, and inability to control urination.

Torq SR 4 Capsule is advised to take it in a dose and duration as per prescription. It can be taken with or without food but take it at the same time regularly. Swallow the medicine as a whole without crushing or chewing it. You should not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine. Some common side effects of this medicine include dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, and headache. Drinking plenty of water might help you cope up with the side effects. It may also make you feel dizzy or sleepy or make your vision blurry so it advised not to drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Consumption of alcohol must be avoided as it can aggravate the side effects. If any of the side effects bother you or persist, consult the doctor without delay.

Torq SR 4 Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Long-term use of Torq SR 4 Capsule might reduce milk production.
Torq SR 4 Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

You may notice an improvement in your symptoms within one week of starting Torq SR 4 Capsule. You might experience maximum benefits after 5-8 weeks of treatment. Your doctor may continue prescribing this medicine for a long term up to 24 months, if needed.
Torq SR 4 Capsule belongs to the group of medicines known as muscarinic receptor blockers. It is not a diuretic, but rather a urinary antispasmodic. This means that it relaxes the urinary bladder, reducing spasm in its wall. This further helps with urine release control and increases bladder storage volume.
Torq SR 4 Capsule does not cure your condition but helps to manage the symptoms of overactive bladder. Do not stop taking this medicine even if you feel better. Your doctor will reassess your condition every six months, or as needed, to understand how long you need to continue Torq SR 4 Capsule.
No, do not crush or chew the tablets. Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food. Take it exactly as directed by your doctor.
Studies show that Torq SR 4 Capsule does not provide relief for symptoms of overactive bladder in children. Therefore, its use in children is not recommended.
Patients with urinary retention (inability to pass urine), delayed stomach emptying or a blocked intestinal tract (toxic megacolon, ulcerative colitis, pyloric stenosis) or uncontrolled high pressure in the eyes (narrow-angle glaucoma) should avoid this medicine. It is also advised to avoid Torq SR 4 Capsule by individuals who have any muscle disease causing drooping eyelids, double vision, difficulty speaking and swallowing, and sometimes muscle weakness in the arms or legs (myasthenia gravis). Patients with hypersensitivity to Tolterodine should not take it either.
Discontinuing Torq SR 4 Capsule will not cause any harmful effects, but you may experience a return of your overactive bladder symptoms. Discuss the issue of constipation with your doctor and they can advise if discontinuing the medicine is needed.
It is not definitively known whether Torq SR 4 Capsule causes dementia. Some reports suggest that in individuals with pre-existing dementia, Torq SR 4 Capsule may worsen symptoms such as confusion, disorientation, and delusions.
