It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. However, it is important to note that the medicine should only be used under the guidance of a doctor and as directed.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tormax 25 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Serious side effects of Tormax 25 Tablet are rare. The potentially serious adverse effects include glaucoma (difficulty seeing, eye pain, and blurred vision), kidney stones (sharp pain in your sides or lower back), and metabolic acidosis (tiredness, loss of appetite, irregular and faint heartbeat). Other serious side effects may involve suicidal thoughts and insufficient sweating (some children taking Tormax 25 Tablet may not sweat enough during hot weather, which can increase their body temperatures).
Tormax 25 Tablet does not interfere with the effectiveness of valproic acid, but it increases the risk of high ammonia levels (hyperammonemia) in the blood. High ammonia levels can be dangerous and cause difficulty thinking, remembering information, or solving problems. It may also decrease alertness and make you feel very sleepy with low energy. It is important to inform your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms. Keep in mind that, in rare cases, Tormax 25 Tablet alone can cause hyperammonemia.
Yes, Tormax 25 Tablet is prescribed for seizures in children older than two years of age. However, it is not recommended for the treatment of migraine in children.
