It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. The medicine should be taken regularly as directed by the doctor to prevent seizures. It is important to note that the medicine may cause dizziness and sleepiness, and patients should avoid driving or doing anything that requires mental focus until they know how it affects them.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Topomed 25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

This can reduce the risk of kidney stones. Monitor your weight during treatment with this medicine as it can cause weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
