Do not change the brand of your medicine and make sure that you have sufficient amount of medicine present with you. Practice yoga every day. Get enough sleep at nighttime. Limit the use of screen time such as mobile/laptop. Take your medication on time. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day while taking Tolozur 25mg Tablet. This can reduce the risk of kidney stones. Monitor your weight during treatment with this medicine as it can cause weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
The duration of treatment with Tolozur 25mg Tablets depends on your doctor's individual advice. This medication does not cure the condition of seizures or migraine, but it prevents them from occurring. Serious side effects of Tolozur 25mg Tablets are rare. The most serious effects that may occur include glaucoma (blurred vision, eye pain), kidney stones (sharp pain in your side or lower back), and metabolic acidosis (fatigue, loss of appetite, irregular heartbeat). In rarer cases, Tolozur 25mg Tablets can cause suicidal thoughts and inadequate sweating (some children taking Tolozur 25mg Tablets may not sweat enough during hot weather, leading to a rise in body temperature).
Tolozur 25mg Tablets do not interfere with the working of valproic acid, but it may increase the risk of high levels of ammonia (hyperammonemia) in your blood. High ammonia levels can lead to difficulty concentrating, remembering things, and solving problems. It may also cause drowsiness, fatigue, and low energy. You should inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.
Tolozur 25mg Tablets can be used to treat seizures in children over 2 years old. However, its use for migraines is not recommended due to limited data on this specific application.
Weight loss is a potential side effect of Tolozur 25mg Tablets. This may be due to decreased appetite, but consult your doctor for further evaluation if you are concerned about your weight changes.
