This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.

Your doctor has prescribed Tobizap Eye Ointment to treat bacterial infections of the eye. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Tobizap Eye Ointment may cause damage to cornea on long-term use. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer. Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

The following bacteria are known to be killed by Tobizap Eye Ointment: *Staphylococcus aureus* and *S. epidermidis*, certain Streptococci species, *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, *Escherichia coli*, *Klebsiella pneumoniae*, *Enterobacter aerogenes*, *Proteus mirabilis*, *Morganella morganii*, most *Proteus vulgaris* strains, *Haemophilus influenza*, and *H. aegyptius*. *Moraxella lacunata*, *Acinetobacter calcoaceticus*, and some *Neisseria* species are also known to be killed by Tobizap Eye Ointment. Your doctor will evaluate if this medicine is suitable for your condition.
The duration of treatment for Tobizap Eye Ointment will be determined by your doctor based on the severity of your infection. For mild to moderate infections, you may be prescribed 1-2 drops four times a day. In more severe cases, your doctor may recommend 2 drops every hour. It's crucial not to exceed or deviate from the prescribed dosage or frequency; always follow your doctor’s instructions precisely.
Always wash your hands before using the eye drops. Avoid touching the dropper tip against any surface, and keep it clean. Gently tilt your head slightly and apply one drop to your eye. After applying a drop, close your eyes for 2 or 3 minutes while keeping your head tilted down. Avoid blinking or squinting. To ensure proper placement of the medication, gently press your finger to the inner corner of your eye for approximately 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct. If you use more than one drop, wait about 5 minutes between each application. At least 10 minutes should pass before applying any other prescribed eye drops.
