Introduction

Tobagram D Eye Ointment is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial eye infections. It is a combination of two medicines: Dexamethasone and Tobramycin. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy. Tobramycin is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Complete your dose even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may bring back the infection.

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.

Your doctor has prescribed Tobagram D Eye Ointment to cure your eye infection and improve your symptoms. Do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after putting the medication. Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up. Eye infections can cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Wearing sunglasses may help to prevent this.
