Tizy-Gel is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.
Your doctor has prescribed Tizy-Gel to treat dry eye disease. It stabilizes the natural tear film and maintains necessary lubrication so your eyes don’t get dry and irritated. May require long-term use. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of this medicine.
Tizy-Gel is a type of eye lubricant, available as eye drops. It's used to relieve irritation, burning, and discomfort from dry eyes. This condition can be caused by insufficient tear production, infrequent blinking, exposure to smoke, wind, pollution, prolonged use of computer screens or televisions, medical treatment, or dry atmospheric conditions. Tizy-Gel may also help with lens insertion or improve comfort while wearing contact lenses.
Tizy-Gel is effective if used as directed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Tizy-Gel prematurely, the symptoms may return or worsen.
If you are treating dry eyes, instill 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed. For lubricating soft and rigid gas-permeable lenses, apply 1 to 2 drops to each eye while wearing the lenses, following your doctor's instructions. Blink several times after applying the drops. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about proper usage.
Avoid using Tizy-Gel in individuals who are allergic to Tizy-Gel or any of its components. If you are unaware of allergies or are new to this medication, consult your doctor.
Potential side effects include visual disturbances and eye discharge. Other possible side effects are redness of the eye, eye irritation, burning sensation or discomfort, eyelid swelling, and itching of the eye. If any of these side effects concern you, please consult your doctor.
