It is best taken on an empty stomach before your first meal of the day. You should take this medicine regularly to get the maximum benefit. An overdose of this medicine can cause nervousness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, hand tremors, excessive sweating, weight loss, and sleep problems. Seek immediate medical attention (call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital) in case of an overdose.
You should continue taking Thyrosig 25mcg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed. It is often prescribed long-term and may be necessary for life. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting your physician, as a relapse of low thyroid hormone levels can occur.
