Drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold containing acetaminophen
Thioford AP Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Thiocolchicoside) and two pain relievers (Aceclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. The pain relievers work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
You have been prescribed Thioford AP Tablet to relieve pain due to muscle spasm. This medicine is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Thioford AP Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Thioford AP Tablet. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
Thioford AP Tablet is usually used for short-term relief of pain. It is recommended to continue taking the medication as directed by your doctor, even after the pain subsides, unless advised otherwise.
Thioford AP Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to painkillers or any of its components or excipients. It is also recommended to avoid using this medication in patients with a history of stomach ulcers, active or recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding, heart failure, high blood pressure, liver disease, or kidney disease.
Yes, Thioford AP Tablet can be taken with vitamin B-complex preparations. Vitamin B-complex can help correct vitamin deficiencies that may be contributing to your symptoms, while Thioford AP Tablet helps relieve pain.
Yes, the long-term use of Thioford AP Tablet can cause kidney damage. This is because painkillers can lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body, which can lead to kidney damage. Patients with underlying kidney disease should use painkillers with caution and under close medical supervision.
No, taking more of Thioford AP Tablet will not make it more effective, but rather can increase the risk of side effects. If your symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor for re-evaluation and guidance.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any signs or symptoms of liver damage, such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes.
