Terracort Eye/Ear Drops is to be used only in the affected eye. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Do not use too much or too little. Use it in the exact dose as prescribed by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, stinging, and irritation at the application site. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water. Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Terracort Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of two medicines: Tetracycline and Hydrocortisone which treat eye/ear infection. Tetracycline is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Hydrocortisone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye/ear red, swollen and itchy.
Your doctor has prescribed Terracort Eye/Ear Drops to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not touch the tip to any surface or to your eye/ear to avoid contamination. Talk to your doctor if your symptoms haven't started to improve within two days of starting treatment if they get worse during treatment or if you get another eye /ear infection. If using Terracort Eye/Ear Drops for the eye: Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not wear contact lenses while using this medication. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
