Oral administration of Terbix 500mg Tablet is not recommended for individuals with chronic or active liver disease. A liver function test might be conducted to assess the effectiveness of your liver. This assessment is important because Terbix 500mg Tablet undergoes metabolism by liver enzymes, and an impaired liver function may lead to increased drug levels in the bloodstream. This can result in intensified side effects and potential toxicity. Before starting Terbix 500mg Tablet, inform your doctor of any liver disease or cirrhosis you might have and disclose all other medications you are taking. Your physician may recommend periodic monitoring (after 4-6 weeks) of liver function tests and adjust the dosage as needed to address any potential risks.
The usual treatment duration for Tinea pedis (athlete's foot), Tinea corporis (ringworm), and Tinea cruris (jock itch) typically ranges from 2 to 4 weeks. In some cases, the treatment period may extend up to 6 weeks. For fungal infections of nails, treatment durations often vary between 6 to 12 weeks. Specific treatment duration for fingernail and toenail fungal infections can be as long as 6 and 12 weeks respectively. However, the exact duration is determined by your doctor based on the type of infection, the affected area, and your individual response to therapy.
Consumption of caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee should be undertaken with caution when on treatment with Terbix 500mg Tablet. This medication reduces the rate at which caffeine is metabolized, by approximately 19%, resulting in increased levels of caffeine in the bloodstream. Such elevated caffeine levels may lead to side effects such as jitters, headache, heightened heartbeat, and feelings of restlessness.

It's crucial not to stop taking this medication prematurely, even if you see a decline in symptoms. Stopping Terbix 500mg Tablet too early may allow the fungus to continue growing and potentially lead to a recurrence or worsening of the infection.
