Frequently asked questions
Can Terbisole 250 Tablet be safe for use in patients with liver cirrhosis?
Oral administration of Terbisole 250 Tablet is not recommended for patients with chronic or active liver disease. Your doctor may prescribe a liver function test to assess the liver's effectiveness. This is because the medication is metabolized by liver enzymes, and impaired liver function can lead to increased medication levels in the blood, potentially causing side effects and toxicity. It is crucial to inform your doctor if you have any history of liver disease or cirrhosis. Additionally, disclose all other medications you are taking as they could interact with Terbisole 250 Tablet, potentially leading to liver toxicity. Your doctor may recommend periodic monitoring (after 4-6 weeks of treatment) of liver function tests and make dosage adjustments accordingly.
Does Terbisole 250 Tablet cause any skin reactions?
Some individuals might experience skin reactions while using Terbisole 250 Tablet. There are rare reports of severe hypersensitivity reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and other serious skin reactions with Terbisole 250 Tablet. Therefore, it is essential to consult your doctor before starting this medication. If you experience any type of skin reaction or rash, discontinue the medication immediately and inform your doctor promptly.
Is Terbisole 250 Tablet effective?
Terbisole 250 Tablet is an effective anti-fungal medicine when used according to your doctor's prescribed dose. Do not stop taking the medication even if you see improvement in your condition. Abruptly stopping the medication could allow the fungus to grow, potentially causing a recurrence or worsening of the infection.

The usual treatment duration for Tinea pedis (foot fungal infections), Tinea corporis (ringworm), and Tinea cruris (groin fungal infection) is approximately 2 to 4 weeks. For toenail fungal infections, it might require 6 weeks, while for fingernail fungal infections, it could take 6 weeks. The exact duration of therapy is decided by your doctor, depending on the type of infection, the location of the infection, and your response to treatment.
