Terbinik Plus Cream is a combination of five medicines: Ofloxacin, Tinidazole, Terbinafine, Clobetasol and D-Panthenol. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Tinidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Terbinafine is an antifungal. It stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. D-Panthenol is a form of vitamin B which nourishes and moisturizes the skin.
Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying Terbinik Plus Cream. Apply it as a thin layer onto clean, dry, unbroken skin affected by infection. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas. It may cause minor burning, stinging or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away. It is advisable not to touch or scratch the infected area as it can worsen the situation.
