Frequently asked questions
Can Terbiark Tablet be safe for use in patients with liver cirrhosis?
Oral intake of Terbiark Tablet is not recommended in patients with chronic or active liver disease. A liver function test should be conducted to assess the liver's ability to metabolize the medication, as an inefficient liver can lead to elevated drug levels and increased side effects and toxicity. It is important to inform your doctor about any pre-existing liver conditions or cirrhosis before using Terbiark Tablet. Additionally, disclose any other medications you are taking to avoid potential interactions that could increase liver toxicity. Your doctor may recommend periodic monitoring (after 4-6 weeks of treatment) of liver function tests and adjust the dosage accordingly based on those results.
Does Terbiark Tablet cause any skin reactions?
Terbiark Tablet has been reported to cause skin reactions, including rare cases of severe allergic reactions. Cases of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and other serious skin reactions have been reported with the use of Terbiark Tablet. It is essential not to begin or continue using this medication without first consulting a physician. If you experience any type of rash or skin reaction while taking Terbiark Tablet, discontinue usage immediately and inform your doctor.
Is Terbiark Tablet effective?
Terbiark Tablet is effective as an antifungal medication when used at the prescribed dosage and duration advised by your physician. It's crucial not to stop taking this medication even if you see a noticeable improvement in your condition. If you abruptly discontinue treatment, the fungus may continue to grow and the infection could potentially return or worsen.
How long do I need to take Terbiark Tablet?
The usual duration of treatment for Tinea pedis (fungal infection of the foot), Tinea corporis (ringworm), and Tinea cruris (fungal infection in the groin) is approximately 2-4 weeks. However, this duration may occasionally be extended to 6 weeks. For fungal infections affecting nails, the treatment duration typically varies from 6 to 12 weeks. Fingernail fungal infections might require 6 weeks of therapy while toenail fungal infections might take 12 weeks. However, the exact duration is determined by your doctor based on the type of infection, the location of the infection, and how well your body responds to treatment.
Can I drink tea or coffee while taking Terbiark Tablet?
Consumption of caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee should be carefully considered when using Terbiark Tablet. Terbiark Tablet reduces the metabolism rate of caffeine by 19%, which can lead to an increase in caffeine levels in your blood. This increased caffeine could potentially cause side effects such as jitteriness, headache, accelerated heartbeat, and restlessness.
