Eye Drop
Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop is a beta blocker that helps reduce the risk of vision loss in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. It lowers the pressure in the eye by decreasing the production of fluid. Always wash your hands before using Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop. Use only the number of drops that your doctor has prescribed. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using the drops and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. If you are also using other eye medicines, wait for at least 10 minutes before using them.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop is a beta blocker that works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye) thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Notify your doctor if you have lung or heart diseases as Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop may worsen these conditions. Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop reduces intraocular pressure, which is the pressure inside the eyes. This helps to reduce the risk of damage to the optic nerve, which is responsible for normal vision. If intraocular pressure is not controlled, it can lead to gradual blindness over time. Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop effectively controls ocular hypertension and certain types of glaucoma by decreasing this pressure in the eye.
Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop is usually instilled once or twice daily at evenly spaced intervals until intraocular pressure is controlled (about 4 weeks). After that, it may be instilled once a day or as directed by your doctor. Always follow the directions given by your healthcare provider carefully and ask any questions you have about using Teoptic 0.5% Eye Drop. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.
