Tentide AF 25mg Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.

Tentide AF 25mg Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Take it with food as this increases the absorption of the medicine into the body. It is important to keep taking them until your doctor tells you it is safe to stop. Common side effects of this medicine include headache, diarrhea, nausea, joint pain, abdominal pain, and indigestion. Please consult your doctor if it persists for a longer duration. These are usually not serious but tell your doctor if they bother you or do not go away. Rarely, some people may experience a skin reaction or liver damage. Your doctor will closely monitor you for these in the initial period of treatment.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tentide AF 25mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Tentide AF 25mg Tablet is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of virus in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.
You can also pass on HIV or HBV to others. Don't share needles or personal items that can have blood or body fluids on them. During treatment and for at least six months after stopping this medicine, regular blood tests are needed to monitor your liver function, level of hepatitis B virus and blood cells in your blood.
Tentide AF 25mg Tablet may reduce the risk of transmitting HIV-1 to others, but it does not entirely eliminate this risk. In cases of HBV infection, there is no evidence to suggest that Tentide AF 25mg Tablet reduces the risk of transferring the virus to others. Therefore, patients with either HIV-1 or HBV infection should practice safe sex and avoid sharing dirty needles.
Tentide AF 25mg Tablet is generally safe when used as prescribed by your doctor. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully, and let them know if you experience any side effects that concern you.
You should take Tentide AF 25mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. It is most effective when taken with food or immediately after a meal. However, taking it without food does not affect its effectiveness. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor.
The duration of treatment will vary depending on the severity of HBV infection and should be determined by your healthcare provider after blood tests are performed. Your doctor may recommend treatment for life-long or a shorter duration based on individual cases.
If you experience vomiting within one hour of taking Tentide AF 25mg Tablet, take another tablet immediately. If you vomit more than one hour after taking the medicine, you do not need to retake a dose. Consult your doctor if you experience continuous vomiting or vomiting every time you take the medication.
If you miss taking Tentide AF 25mg Tablet within 12 hours of your usual dose, take the missed dose with food as soon as possible and resume your regular dosage schedule. If it has been more than 12 hours since your last dose, skip the missed dose and restart your normal dosing schedule.
