The medicine is generally used when one medicine alone is not controlling the blood pressure effectively. Lowering blood pressure helps to reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telmicad-H Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Telmicad-H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

It can be taken with or without food. Telmicad-H Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Use of Telmicad-H Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.
You should avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless advised by your doctor. Also, avoid alcohol consumption as it can further lower your blood pressure and may cause some side effects. Additionally, stay well hydrated, drink enough fluids during exercise in hot weather. The medicine may make you dizzy so avoid driving, using machinery or doing anything that needs concentration until you understand how this medicine affects you. If you feel dizzy, lie down to prevent fainting and sit for a few moments before standing.
Taking too much Telmicad-H Tablet can lead to symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting and rapid heartbeat. In some cases slow heartbeat, reduced kidney function including kidney failure (reduced urine output) have also been reported. If you experience these symptoms, contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help.
Remember that Telmicad-H Tablet does not cure hypertension (high blood pressure). It helps normalize it. You should continue taking this medicine even if your blood pressure is controlled. If you stop taking Telmicad-H Tablet, your blood pressure could rise again. In general, blood pressure-lowering medicines are to be taken for the rest of your life. It's important to know that by keeping your blood pressure under control, you are reducing your risk of a heart attack or stroke.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed. If you often forget doses, it may help to set an alarm to remind you. If unsure, consult your doctor for other ways to help you remember.
You should not stop taking Telmicad-H Tablet without talking to your doctor first. If you do stop, your blood pressure may rise and you might put yourself at greater risk of a heart attack or stroke. If you experience side effects such as dizziness, nausea, diarrhea etc., talk to your doctor.
Telmicad-H Tablet is generally safe to take for a long time. Remember to follow your doctor's advice/instructions.
You may need to take Telmicad-H Tablet for a long term or even lifelong. The medicine only keeps your blood pressure under control as long as you are taking it. Therefore, it is advised to continue your medication and follow your doctor's advice.
High blood pressure does not usually have any symptoms, so you may not feel ill even if there is a change in the blood pressure. Therefore, this medicine may not make you feel “better” meaning it won’t cure the hypertension. Exercise regularly and adopt a balanced diet that includes whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, and fat-free products.
