Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER is a combination medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) by relaxing blood vessels and making the heart more efficient.

Introduction

Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It makes you lose excess water through urine, hence try to take it at day time or 4 hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER is a combination of three medicines: Chlorthalidone, Metoprolol Succinate and Telmisartan which lower blood pressure effectively.

You have been prescribed Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack. It may cause more frequent urination. Take it at least 4 hrs before bedtime to avoid waking up to urinate. It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth. Do not stop taking Telma-MCT 50/6.25 Tablet ER suddenly without talking to your doctor.
