Teliscope H 40mg/12.5mg Tablet contains two medicines, both of which help to control high blood pressure. It is generally used when one medicine alone is not controlling the blood pressure effectively. Lowering blood pressure helps to reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Teliscope H 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Teliscope H 40mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines:
It can be taken with or without food. Teliscope H 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Use of Teliscope H 40mg/12.5mg Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.
To ensure your safety while taking Teliscope H, avoid consuming potassium supplements or salt substitutes without consulting your doctor. Additionally, limit or avoid alcohol consumption as it may lower your blood pressure and cause side effects. Stay hydrated by drinking enough fluids during exercise and in hot weather to prevent dehydration. Also, be cautious with activities that require concentration such as driving or operating machinery, and take regular breaks if you experience dizziness.
If you accidentally take an excessive dose of Teliscope H, you may experience symptoms like low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting, and rapid heartbeat. In some cases, slow heartbeat and reduced kidney function (including kidney failure) have been reported. If you experience any such symptoms, contact your doctor immediately for medical help.
Remember, Teliscope H does not cure hypertension but helps normalize it. Continue taking this medicine even if your blood pressure is controlled. Stopping the medication may cause your blood pressure to rise again, and long-term blood pressure-lowering medications are usually required for life. By maintaining controlled blood pressure, you reduce your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Avoid taking a double dose to make up for the missed one. If you frequently forget doses, consider setting reminders or consulting your doctor for additional guidance on managing your medication.
Do not abruptly stop taking Teliscope H without consulting your doctor first. Stopping the medication may cause a rise in blood pressure and increase the risk of having a heart attack or stroke. If you experience side effects, such as dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, etc., discuss them with your doctor.
Teliscope H is generally considered safe for long-term use. Remember to follow your doctor's advice and instructions for optimal results.
You may need to take Teliscope H for an extended period or even lifelong, as the medication helps maintain controlled blood pressure. Continue your treatment and follow your doctor's guidance.
High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but taking the medication regularly helps prevent serious health issues. Continue to take your medication as prescribed by your doctor and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Teliscope H may occasionally cause erectile dysfunction, but untreated hypertension itself can lead to this condition. If you experience changes or are concerned, consult your doctor.
In addition to taking the medication, adopt a healthy lifestyle by reducing salt intake, managing stress through activities like yoga or meditation, ensuring good sleep, quitting smoking and alcohol consumption, exercising regularly, and maintaining a balanced diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and fat-free products. Consult your doctor for personalized guidance.
