Introduction

Telekast 4 Chewable Tablet is a leukotriene antagonist that works by blocking a chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms. It is used to prevent asthma attacks in children, ease breathing difficulties caused by strenuous physical activities, and treat symptoms of skin and seasonal allergies such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes.

Never give Telekast 4 Chewable Tablet to stop an attack that has already started as the medicine may not work for such cases. Make sure to keep all other rescue medicines handy for your child in case of any respiratory distress.

If you are giving Telekast 4 Chewable Tablet to your child for asthma or allergy, you need not give another dose to prevent exercise-induced breathing problems. In case of any confusion, consult your child’s doctor as soon as possible. Make sure that you always have enough medicine. Never give medicines meant for adults to children as they can harm. Practice self-care tips: Abstain your child from coming in contact with allergens, encourage your child to wear a face mask and avoid dusty places, and give plenty of fluids to your child as that helps in thinning and loosening the mucus in the lungs.
