Techflox MZ Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that is effective against a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections.
Syrup
Techflox MZ Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that is effective against a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections. In children, it is used to treat infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
Techflox MZ Syrup is an antibiotic having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.
If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if your child experiences an altered taste. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Techflox MZ Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Discontinue Techflox MZ Syrup and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.
While an extra dose of Techflox MZ Syrup will not have any side effects, you must always be vigilant. If you believe you may have given your child too much Techflox MZ Syrup, immediately contact a doctor. Overdose increases the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of these symptoms.
If your child doesn't show improvement despite taking Techflox MZ Syrup according to the dosage instructions, it may indicate the medication isn't effectively fighting the bacteria causing the infection. In this situation, consult with a doctor who may prescribe another antibiotic that has stronger action against the specific bacteria responsible for the infection.
Techflox MZ Syrup can sometimes interact with other medications or substances. It's crucial to inform your child's doctor about all medications they are currently taking before starting Techflox MZ Syrup. It is also recommended to consult your child's doctor before giving any additional medication to your child.
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not be vaccinated until they recover from the illness. Once your child feels better, they can receive the vaccine.
Inform your child's doctor if your child has a history of heart disease, genetic disorders affecting blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (an allergy triggered by sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there may be an increased risk of complications with these conditions and the use of Techflox MZ Syrup.
Yes, it is normal. Techflox MZ Syrup contains an active ingredient called metronidazole, which can cause reddish-brown urine. It's a harmless side effect that will subside once the medication is discontinued after completion of treatment.
No, do not give Techflox MZ Syrup with cough and cold medicines as it can interfere with their effectiveness.
