It is also part of the multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) treatment regimen. This medicine is used to target the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, abdomen, and urinary tract.
Give the medicine as soon as you remember unless your child's doctor has advised a specific regime for your child. Do not double the dose to catch up. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Taricin Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
Taricin Suspension is an antibiotic that interferes with the genetic material of bacteria by implanting defects in its DNA. These defects hamper the multiplication of the bacteria and affect its survival as well, killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.

Giving an extra dose of Taricin Suspension by mistake is unlikely to cause harm. However, if you suspect that your child has taken too much of the medication, it's essential to consult with a doctor immediately. Overdose symptoms may include seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, unconsciousness, and irregular heart palpitations. In such cases, seek medical attention promptly.
If your child shows no improvement despite completing the recommended course of Taricin Suspension, it could be that the medication is not effective against the specific bacteria causing the infection. In such cases, consult with your child's doctor who may prescribe an alternative antibiotic or recommend a change in treatment. It's also possible that other medical interventions might be necessary, including intravenous therapy.
Taricin Suspension can interact with other medications or substances. Before giving your child any new medication, inform the doctor about all existing medications and supplements being taken. It's also crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before administering any additional medicines.
Antibiotics generally do not interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have just been vaccinated. However, it's essential for children on antibiotics to wait until they recover from their illness before receiving vaccinations. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be administered.
Before starting Taricin Suspension, inform the doctor if your child has a history of heart disease, genetic disorders affecting blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy, neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because Taricin Suspension may exacerbate these conditions and lead to complications.
