Tandy 2mg Drop is a medicine given to children to help treat nausea and vomiting, mainly associated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and stomach/intestinal infection.
Drop
Tandy 2mg Drop may be given before or after meals. To control vomiting caused due to chemotherapy, give this medicine to your child 30 minutes before the procedure. Give it 1 to 2 hours before a radiotherapy session and 1 hour before surgery to prevent your child from vomiting post these procedures. If your child expels out the medicine within 30 minutes of the intake, help your child calm down and repeat the dose. Do not double the dose if it is already time for the next dose. Tandy 2mg Drop may cause some temporary side effects such as headache, constipation, diarrhea, and fatigue. These side effects usually subside once your child's body adapts to the medicine. In case these side effects persist or become bothersome, do reach out to the doctor on a priority basis.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Tandy 2mg Drop may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Later, this stimulates special centers in the body that are responsible for inducing vomiting in your child. Giving Tandy 2mg Drop just before the procedure helps block the effect of this chemical on vomiting centers of the brain and prevents vomiting.
Tandy 2mg Drop effectively controls nausea and bouts of vomiting reflex in children undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy sessions. It is fast-acting and starts working within 30 minutes. Practice self-care measures: Give plenty of fluids to your child to avoid dehydration, Avoid giving fried and spicy food or heavy meals to your child, Ensure that your child eats slowly and in small proportions.
Tandy 2mg Drop is generally administered prior to major surgery or chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions. In such instances, your child's doctor may prescribe it to prevent vomiting after the procedure. It can also be helpful in treating nausea due to stomach-related diseases. If your child is under these conditions, your child's doctor may prescribe Tandy 2mg Drop for a few days as per the treatment plan.
While accidental overdose of Tandy 2mg Drop is unlikely to cause harm, it's crucial to inform your child's doctor immediately. Excessive intake can trigger serotonin syndrome symptoms like excessive sleepiness, agitation, rapid heartbeat, hypertension, flushing, dilated pupils, sweating, involuntary muscle jerk, uncontrolled eye movements, overactive reflexes and seizures. These symptoms need prompt medical attention.
Tandy 2mg Drop should be stored at room temperature in a dry area away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Additionally, keep all medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
In general, it is advised not to combine Tandy 2mg Drop with antidepressants, apomorphine, anti-migraine medications, painkillers, heart medications, and antibiotics like linezolid. However, always consult your child's doctor for guidance regarding the use of any medication.
Contact your child's doctor immediately if they experience symptoms of serotonin syndrome, such as irregular heartbeat, green-colored vomiting, difficulty passing gas, pale or white skin and eyes, dark-colored urine, restlessness, and insomnia.
Avoid giving Tandy 2mg Drop concurrently with medications designed to treat depression or migraines due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. It's essential to consult your child’s doctor before administering any medicine to them.
