How it works
Tamik BC Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Mefenamic acid, Tranexamic acid, and Vitamin K which reduce excessive bleeding and pain. Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tranexamic acid is an anti-fibrinolytic. It works by helping blood clot normally to reduce bleeding during periods or after surgery. Vitamin K is also a blood clotting vitamin which controls excessive bleeding.
Quick Tips
Tamik BC Tablet helps prevent or reduce heavy bleeding post surgery and in conditions such as heavy periods, nose bleeds, and tooth extraction. If taking for heavy periods, take it on the first day as taking it before or after will not have any benefit. Inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your bleeding after using this medicine for three consecutive periods. Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
