Talfatrax 25mg Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells.

Talfatrax 25mg Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Take it with food as this increases the absorption of the medicine into the body. It is important to keep taking them until your doctor tells you it is safe to stop. Common side effects of this medicine include headache, diarrhea, nausea, joint pain, abdominal pain, and indigestion. Please consult your doctor if it persists for a longer duration. These are usually not serious but tell your doctor if they bother you or do not go away. Rarely, some people may experience a skin reaction or liver damage. Your doctor will closely monitor you for these in the initial period of treatment.

You can also pass on HIV or HBV to others. Don't share needles or personal items that can have blood or body fluids on them. During treatment and for at least six months after stopping this medicine, regular blood tests are needed to monitor your liver function, level of hepatitis B virus and blood cells in your blood.
Talfatrax 25mg Tablet may reduce the risk of passing HIV-1 to others, but it does not prove to be effective in reducing the risk of transmitting HBV. To prevent transmission, patients with either infection should practice safe sex and avoid sharing dirty needles.
Talfatrax 25mg Tablet is considered safe when taken as directed by a doctor. It's essential to take the medication exactly as prescribed, without skipping any doses, and to inform your doctor about any side effects.
Talfatrax 25mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor. It's most effective when taken with meals or shortly after, but its effectiveness is not reduced if taken without food.
The length of treatment depends on the severity of the HBV infection. Regular blood tests will be required to monitor viral load and T-cell counts, and your doctor will determine the appropriate treatment duration based on these results. In some cases, lifelong treatment may be necessary.
If vomiting occurs within one hour of taking Talfatrax 25mg Tablet, another tablet should be taken. However, if more than an hour has passed since taking the medication and you experience persistent vomiting, consult your doctor for guidance.
If you remember within 12 hours of your usual dosing time, take the missed dose with food and resume the normal schedule. If more than 12 hours have passed since taking the medication and it's almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule.
