Takchlor-C Eye Ointment is a combination of two antibiotics (Chloramphenicol and Polymyxin B) and a steroid (Dexamethasone). The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria or stopping their growth. Together they treat your eye infection effectively. The steroid blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy.
