Introduction

Tag Syrup is a syrup that contains three active medicines: Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Terbutaline. It is used to treat wet cough in children. The medicine helps to thin and loosen mucus, making it easier to cough out. It also decreases the stickiness of the mucus and helps in its removal from the airways. The bronchodilator property of Terbutaline relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways. Give Tag Syrup to your child orally, with or without food. Give it with food to reduce the chances of stomach upset. You may be required to give this medicine to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon your child's clinical condition and severity of the illness.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Tag Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Practice self-care tips: Clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing to avoid allergies. Give your child plenty of fluids as it helps to thin and loosen the mucus accumulated in the lungs. Restrain your child from having caffeinated products and foods that are spicy and fried. All these can trigger coughing. Make your child gargle with warm saltwater. Ensure your child takes enough rest.
