Tafbest Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells.

Tafbest Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Take it with food as this increases the absorption of the medicine into the body. It is important to keep taking them until your doctor tells you it is safe to stop. Common side effects of this medicine include headache, diarrhea, nausea, joint pain, abdominal pain, and indigestion. Please consult your doctor if it persists for a longer duration. These are usually not serious but tell your doctor if they bother you or do not go away. Rarely some people may experience a skin reaction or liver damage. Your doctor will closely monitor you for these in the initial period of treatment.

Tafbest Tablet is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of virus in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.
You can also pass on HIV or HBV to others. Don't share needles or personal items that can have blood or body fluids on them. During treatment and for at least six months after stopping this medicine, regular blood tests are needed to monitor your liver function, level of hepatitis B virus and blood cells in your blood.
Tafbest Tablet may reduce the risk of transmitting HIV-1 to others, but it does not eliminate the chance of transmission. For individuals with HBV infection, Tafbest Tablet has not been proven to decrease the risk of passing the virus to others. Therefore, patients with either HIV-1 or HBV infections should practice safe sex and avoid sharing dirty needles.
Tafbest Tablet is considered safe when used as directed by your doctor, in the recommended dose and duration. It's essential to take it exactly as instructed, without skipping any doses. Inform your doctor if you experience any side effects.
Take Tafbest Tablet as directed by your doctor, ideally with meals or shortly after eating. However, taking it without food does not affect its effectiveness. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor for guidance.
The duration of treatment for HBV infection with Tafbest Tablet will depend on the severity of the condition. Regular blood tests will be required to monitor viral load and T-cell counts. Your doctor will determine the appropriate treatment duration based on these results, which may extend to a lifelong regimen in some cases.
If vomiting occurs within one hour of taking Tafbest Tablet, take another tablet. However, if vomiting happens more than an hour after taking the medicine, no additional dose is required. Consult your doctor if you experience frequent or prolonged vomiting.
If you miss a dose of Tafbest Tablet within 12 hours of its scheduled time, take the missed dose with food and resume your normal dosing schedule. If it's been more than 12 hours since taking the previous dose and it's almost time for the next one, skip the missed dose and simply continue with your usual dosing schedule.
