T Mate 100mg Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Take your medication regularly as directed by your doctor as missing doses can trigger seizures. Do not change the brand of your medicine and make sure that you have sufficient amount of medicine present with you. Practice yoga every day. Get enough sleep at nighttime. Limit the use of screen time such as mobile/laptop. Take your medication on time. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day while taking T Mate 100mg Tablet. This can reduce the risk of kidney stones. Monitor your weight during treatment with this medicine as it can cause weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
The duration of T Mate 100mg Tablet use will depend on your healthcare provider's recommendation. T Mate 100mg Tablet is not a cure for seizures or migraine, but rather helps prevent them from occurring. Therefore, you may need to continue taking it for months or even years depending on symptom improvement and any potential side effects.
T Mate 100mg Tablet is not specifically designed to treat anxiety. Please consult your healthcare provider before taking this medication.
Serious side effects of T Mate 100mg Tablet are rare. Potential serious effects may include glaucoma (difficulty seeing, eye pain, blurred vision), kidney stones (sharp pain in your sides or lower back), and metabolic acidosis (tiredness, loss of appetite, irregular and faint heartbeat). Other potential serious side effects include suicidal thoughts and insufficient sweating (some children taking T Mate 100mg Tablet may not sweat enough in hot weather, causing their body temperatures to rise).
T Mate 100mg Tablet does not interfere with the effectiveness of valproic acid. However, it may increase the risk of hyperammonemia (high ammonia levels in the blood). This can lead to problems with thinking and memory, decreased alertness, tiredness, low energy levels, and difficulty concentrating. If you experience these symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
T Mate 100mg Tablet is approved for use in children over two years of age for treating seizures. However, this medication has not been extensively studied for its use in children with migraines.
Weight loss might occur as a side effect of T Mate 100mg Tablet due to a decrease in appetite. If you have concerns, consult your healthcare provider for further advice.
