Sungmycin 300mg Capsule is an antibiotic medicine that fights bacteria and is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is effective in infections of the lungs (e.g., pneumonia), throat, stomach, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, and teeth.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Sungmycin 300mg Capsule is to be taken with food.

Side Effects

Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.

Alcohol Warning

It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Sungmycin 300mg Capsule. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning

Sungmycin 300mg Capsule is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Sungmycin 300mg Capsule is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus it stops the bacteria from growing and prevents the infection from spreading.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before you start treatment with this antibiotic. Stop taking Sungmycin 300mg Capsule and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
