Introduction

STOP-PLUS 250MG/250MG TABLET is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Ethamsylate. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. It also increases the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. You can take STOP-PLUS 250MG/250MG TABLET at any time of day with or without food but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by the doctor and if you have missed a dose take it as soon as you remember. Remember to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. STOP-PLUS 250MG/250MG TABLET may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, headache, nasal congestion, sinus pain, sinus inflammation, rash, tiredness, and musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain.

Alcohol Warning

STOP-PLUS 250MG/250MG TABLET may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

STOP-PLUS 250MG/250MG TABLET is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Ethamsylate. Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. Ethamsylate is a hemostatic. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).

Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea). If you get diarrhea while taking this medicine, consult your doctor immediately. Along with taking STOP-PLUS 250MG/250MG TABLET you can use a heating pad or try gentle massage and relaxation techniques to get relief during periods. Inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your bleeding after using this medicine for three consecutive periods. Inform your doctor if you have any bleeding disorders.
