Introduction

Sprot Plus 100 mg/125 mg/50 mg Suspension is a suspension that treats parasitic infections in children. It works by killing the infection-causing microorganisms and also helps treat symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, bloating, discomfort, and cramps associated with these infections.

Your child must complete the entire course of the medicine. Stopping too soon may cause the pathogen (parasites) to multiply again and can lead to a recurrence of symptoms.

Sprot Plus 100 mg/125 mg/50 mg Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, diloxanide, and simethicone. Metronidazole is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide that acts inside the intestines to kill the infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine that disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Sprot Plus 100 mg/125 mg/50 mg Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Your child must complete the entire course of the medicine. Discontinue Sprot Plus 100 mg/125 mg/50 mg Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.
