Introduction

Spasmonorm Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Alcohol Warning

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.

Spasmonorm Injection is a combination of two medicines: Camylofin and Diclofenac which relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Camylofin is an anticholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) thereby relieving cramps and pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling).

Spasmonorm Injection is prescribed to give relief from abdominal cramps and pain. It is best to take it when the first sign of pain occurs. Inform your doctor if you have a history of asthma before taking Spasmonorm Injection.
