Introduction
Somavent Forte AF Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Terbutaline, Bromhexine, and Guaifenesin which relieve cough with mucus. It is better to take it in a dose and duration advised by the doctor. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But never take a double dose to make up for the missed one. Before taking it, inform the doctor if you have suffered or are currently suffering from any stomach, lung, liver, or kidney disease.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Somavent Forte AF Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works
Somavent Forte AF Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Terbutaline, Bromhexine, and Guaifenesin which relieve cough with mucus. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways.

If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease. Stop taking Somavent Forte AF Tablet and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.
