How it works
Sodium picosulfate, liquid paraffin, and milk of magnesia which relieves constipation. Sodium picosulfate is a stimulant laxative which increases peristalsis (the wave-like movement of the intestines) to push the stools forward. Liquid paraffin is a lubricant laxative which helps retain water and fat in the stools while milk of magnesia is an osmotic laxative which works by drawing water into the intestine through osmosis making the stools soft. Together they make stools easier to pass.

Frequently asked questions
What is Softek Plus Syrup?
Softek Plus Syrup contains three laxatives: sodium picosulfate, liquid paraffin, and milk of magnesia. It helps relieve constipation by softening stools and encouraging bowel movement. Sodium picosulfate acts as a stimulant laxative, stimulating intestinal contractions to move stools forward. Liquid paraffin is a lubricant laxative that helps the stool retain water. Milk of magnesia is an osmotic laxative, drawing water into the intestines via osmosis to soften stools.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Softek Plus Syrup?
Store this medicine in its original container or pack, tightly sealed. Refer to the product label for specific storage instructions and always ensure it is not accessed by pets, children, or other individuals.
Can the use of Softek Plus Syrup cause diarrhea?
Yes, using Softek Plus Syrup can lead to diarrhea. If you experience diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids. In case of persistent diarrhea, contact your doctor and pay attention for signs of dehydration like dark-colored or strong-smelling urine with reduced urination frequency. How long should laxatives be used for?
Laxatives are generally intended for occasional and short-term use, not as a regular routine to keep bowel movements regular or manage constipation. Long-term laxative dependence may prove harmful.
