Short Description

Sizlac 50mg Tablet is used to control and prevent epilepsy (seizures) by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Introduction

Sizlac 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember as it can be life-threatening in some cases, so it is better to keep an extra stock always to avoid a missed dose. You should finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better and always consult your doctor before stopping this medicine as it may increase seizure frequency. Inform your doctor if you have any heart-related problems before starting your treatment with this medicine. The use of this medicine may cause some side effects such as headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, muscle spasms, blurred vision, nausea, and diplopia (double vision). Most of these side effects are self-limiting and they usually improve with time. Keep a watch on your weight, as using this medicine can cause weight gain. Eat healthily and exercise regularly to manage it.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Sizlac 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Sizlac 50mg Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It slowly inactivates the sodium gated channels, which decreases the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Thereby, it controls seizures or fits.

Take your medication regularly as directed by your doctor as missing doses can trigger seizures. Practice yoga every day. Get enough sleep at nighttime. Limit the use of screen time such as mobile/laptop. Take your medication on time. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Talk to your doctor if you have a heart problem that affects your heartbeat. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
