Sizlac 10mg Injection is used to control and prevent epilepsy (seizures). It is used alone or in combination with other similar medicines and it controls seizures by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Introduction

Sizlac 10mg Injection is given under the supervision of a doctor or a nurse. It should not be self-administered at home. Get the injection regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember as it can be life-threatening in some cases. So it is better to keep an extra stock always to avoid a missed dose. You should finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better and always consult your doctor before stopping this medicine as it may increase seizure frequency. Inform your doctor if you have any heart-related problems before starting your treatment with this medicine. The use of this medicine may cause some common side effects like headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, and diplopia (double vision). Most of these side effects are self-limiting and they usually improve with time. Additionally, you may notice some injection site reactions like redness or swelling. Please consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.

Sizlac 10mg Injection is an antiepileptic medication. It slowly inactivates the sodium gated channels which decreases the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Thereby it controls seizures or fits.

Take your medication regularly as directed by your doctor as missing doses can trigger seizures. Some healthy tips to prevent seizures: Practice yoga every day. Get enough sleep at nighttime. Limit the use of screen time such as mobile/laptop. Take your medication on time. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Talk to your doctor if you have a heart problem that affects your heartbeat. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
