Tablet
Sitahenz PM 500mg/15mg/100mg Tablet is indicated for improving glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It helps control blood sugar levels and prevents serious complications. The medicine may be prescribed alone or with other diabetes medications. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, and constipation. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) is possible, especially if combined with other diabetes medicines. Consult your doctor if you have kidney, heart, or pancreas issues, or if you consume alcohol frequently. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use. Regular monitoring of kidney function and blood glucose levels is recommended.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Sitahenz PM 500mg/15mg/100mg Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medications. Metformin decreases glucose absorption from food and glucose production by the liver, and increases the body's response to insulin. Pioglitazone enhances cellular responsiveness to insulin and increases insulin-dependent glucose utilization and disposal. Sitagliptin increases incretins in the body, which make the pancreas release more insulin and signal the liver to stop producing glucose when blood sugar levels are high.
Prefer taking Sitahenz PM 500mg/15mg/100mg Tablet after a meal or with a snack to reduce the chance of an upset stomach. Sitahenz PM 500mg/15mg/100mg Tablet may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal. Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, cold sweats, tremor, and anxiety. If you get unusually thirsty, pass urine more frequently, and feel tired, let your doctor know. These are signs that there is too much sugar in your blood and your dose may need adjusting. Monitor your blood sugar regularly while taking this medicine. Lifestyle changes like a low sugar diet, exercising, losing weight, not smoking, and cutting down on alcohol intake may help this medication work better.
