Single P 200mg Suspension is a medication used to treat parasitic worm infections in children.
Suspension
Single P 200mg Suspension is effective against a range of parasitic worm infections in children. It restrains the worms from absorbing the body's essential nutrients, causing them to lose their energy and leading to their eventual death. The dead worms are then removed from your child's body through the stool.
Give this medicine to your child with a fat-containing food such as milk as it enables better absorption in the body. Follow the prescribed dosage strictly. In case your child is prescribed to take this medicine for a few days, make sure to complete the dosage as stopping abruptly may lead to re-infection.

Worms enter inside your child's body when your child eats or drinks something that's infected with a worm or its eggs. Once inside the body, these worms get attached to the inner walls of the intestines and can even enter other body organs. Single P 200mg Suspension works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child's infection.

Make sure to complete the dosage as stopping abruptly may lead to re-infection. Worm infections are easily spread between family members. Your doctor may recommend treatment for all family members on the same day, whether or not they have any symptoms of infection. Some self-care measures: do not give raw or undercooked food to your child, encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet, trim your child's nails frequently, maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child, and inform the doctor in case your child exhibits signs of allergic reaction or infection.
Signs of possible worm infection include anal itching (rectal area), difficulty sitting, fatigue, and restless sleep from itching. Also look for unexplained stomach pain, loss of appetite, or frequent indigestion in your child. If your child eats inedible substances like mud, it might be a sign of pica, which can be associated with worm infections. Talk to your child's doctor if you notice any of these signs.
Intestinal worms are most often spread through contaminated feces. When human fecal matter contaminates soil in areas with poor sanitation, it can be a source for worm eggs to enter the environment. Drinking contaminated water or eating unwashed vegetables and fruits can also lead to infection. Your child could also get infected by playing in dirty soil where worm eggs have been present. Encourage your child to wash up thoroughly after playing outside.
Deworming is the process of killing and eliminating worms from a person's body. Single P 200mg Suspension is often used for de-worming children.
You can administer your child pain relievers and fever reducers unless your doctor has advised against it. However, it's essential to consult with your child's doctor before giving any other medications with Single P 200mg Suspension to avoid potential side effects.
Single P 200mg Suspension can be administered at any time of day. However, it's recommended to provide it with a meal containing fat, such as milk. This will help your child absorb the medicine more effectively.
Single P 200mg Suspension is not suitable for children with a known allergy to albendazole, mebendazole, or thiabendazole. It's crucial to inform your child's doctor if your child has any allergies or medical conditions before administering this medication.
