Simcolex Tablet is used to treat flatulence and relieve discomfort and pain caused by excessive gas in the stomach and intestines, such as in postoperative gaseous distention. It is generally safe with no common side effects, though it may cause diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting in some people. It is important to take this medicine as advised by your doctor, and to inform them of any other medications you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before taking this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Simcolex Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Simcolex Tablet is a combination of activated charcoal and simethicone. The charcoal traps gas molecules, reducing gas that causes bloating. Simethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles, facilitating the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching, and restricts the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

Simcolex Tablet can make it harder for your body to absorb other medicines, especially certain antibiotics. Avoid taking any other medicine 2 hours before or after you take Simcolex Tablet. Do not give this medicine to children as safety has not been established. Incorporate the following lifestyle changes to prevent flatulence: eat regular meals, drink plenty of water, avoid spicy and fatty fried food, do not go to bed immediately after a meal, and avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
