Siliryl Lotion is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Siliryl Lotion is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid, which treats eczema and psoriasis. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Clobetasol into the skin.
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily or as advised by your doctor. Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor as this may increase the risk of side effects. After you have applied Siliryl Lotion, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area). Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome the skin dryness during the course of treatment. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.
To use Siliryl Lotion effectively, apply a thin layer to the affected skin area in sufficient quantity, usually 2-3 times a day. After applying, wash your hands unless the lotion is being used on an infected area on your hand.
Even if you feel better, it's essential to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor. Stopping the medication prematurely may lead to incomplete treatment of the disease.
When using Siliryl Lotion, remember not to apply it on the face and do not overuse the medication beyond the advised period. Avoid applying bandages or dressings, as this may increase absorption and side effects. This medication is for personal use only; never share it with others.
No, overusing Siliryl Lotion can lead to excessive absorption of the medicine into your body, potentially causing skin thinning or other serious side effects. If you experience increased symptoms, consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
To keep Siliryl Lotion effective and safe, store it in its original container, tightly closed, following the storage instructions on the pack or label. Dispose of any unused medication responsibly to prevent accidental consumption by pets, children, or others.
