It is important to take this medicine regularly as directed by your doctor as missing doses can trigger seizures.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Seztin 300mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.

Taking higher than prescribed doses of Seztin 300mg Tablet can lead to signs like jerky eye movements (nystagmus), unclear speech, loss of balance, tremors, muscle stiffness or weakness, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, fainting, blurred vision, slow and shallow breathing, and even coma. It also can cause very low blood pressure and respiratory problems which may result in death.
Avoid taking Seztin 300mg Tablet if you have liver disease, especially if you have a history of developing liver problems due to this medication. Also, patients taking Delavirdine (an HIV treatment) should not take Seztin 300mg Tablet. It may interfere with the effectiveness of Delavirdine and lead to virus resistance.
Seztin 300mg Tablet can be taken with ibuprofen. However, it's recommended to consult your doctor before combining the two medications to avoid potential drug interactions.
Common side effects in children include jerky eye movements (nystagmus) and overgrown gums.
