Servil Baby Syrup is a medicine used to treat wet cough and bronchospasm in children.
Syrup
Servil Baby Syrup is a syrup that contains two active ingredients, ambroxol and salbutamol, which work together to relieve wet cough and bronchospasm in children. These symptoms may occur due to conditions such as sore throat, asthma, or any other acute or chronic respiratory illness.
Do not give this medicine to your child for the long term without consulting your child's doctor. Never combine Servil Baby Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may increase the chances of side effects. Never self-medicate at home. Always consult your child's doctor. Do not share your child's medicines with other children as they can cause harm.
No common side effects listed.
Servil Baby Syrup contains two active medicines: ambroxol and salbutamol. Together these medicines relieve wet cough and bronchospasm. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. On the other hand Salbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Together they make breathing easier.
Give plenty of fluids as it helps to loosen and expel the mucus. Avoid giving dairy foods, caffeinated products, and spicy and fried food to your child as all these may irritate the airways and trigger coughing. A teaspoon of honey may also help to ease out a cough reflex. Ask your child to gargle with warm salt water as it eases the expelling of mucus. Ensure your child takes enough rest.
Servil Baby Syrup is intended for treating wet coughs, helping clear mucus from the airways and relieving throat irritation, congestion, and providing soothing effects. For dry coughs, cough suppressants are more appropriate. Consult your child's doctor before administering any medication to ensure proper dosage and selection.
If your child's doctor has prescribed regular Servil Baby Syrup doses, administer the missed dose as soon as possible. Maintain a record of your child's dosage for accurate monitoring and prevention of missing doses. If it's close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume the normal dosing routine. Do not give two doses simultaneously. Remember that Servil Baby Syrup is often used on an 'as needed' basis. Always consult your child's doctor regarding appropriate dosage.
Servil Baby Syrup, a combination medication, contains salbutamol which can lead to electrolyte imbalance. This could result in signs of low potassium levels such as muscle pain or weakness, muscle cramps, or an abnormal heartbeat in your child. If you notice these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention from your child's doctor.
Call the doctor immediately if your child's prescribed dose is ineffective or their symptoms worsen. If you suspect an unnecessary increase in dosage frequency, do not self-medicate and contact your child's doctor for guidance as soon as possible.
Never administer medications intended for adults to children. Always check the medication label carefully before giving it to your child, ensuring proper dosage and adherence to prescribed instructions to avoid unintended side effects.
Servil Baby Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry area away from direct sunlight or heat. Keep all medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent any unintentional misuse.
