Gel
Sensesit Gel is a topical medication used to treat neuropathic pain. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation, thereby modulating calcium channel activity. The gel is a combination of five medications: Diclofenac, Capsaicin, Menthol, Methyl Salicylate, and Pregabalin. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that stops the body's production of prostaglandin, a substance that causes pain. Capsaicin decreases substance P, which helps pass pain signals to the brain. Menthol and Methyl Salicylate create cooling and warming sensations on the skin, distracting from deeper muscle and joint pain. Pregabalin reduces the number of pain signals sent by damaged nerves. While the gel may ease pain within a few days, it may take 2-3 weeks to see maximum benefit. Always consult your doctor before using this medication, especially if you are using other pain-relieving medicines.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
