Sengab-NT Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. This medicine decreases the pain by stopping the movement of pain signals to the brain. It is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin and Nortriptyline. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sengab-NT Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
No common side effects listed.
Sengab-NT Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Sengab-NT Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Sengab-NT Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Sengab-NT Tablet is used to treat certain types of long-lasting pain caused by damage to nerves. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other pain-relieving medicines. Along with taking this medicine, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain. Avoid taking antacids 2 hours before or after taking Sengab-NT Tablet as they make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.

No, you should not stop taking Sengab-NT Tablet even if your pain is relieved. Continue as directed by your doctor. Abruptly stopping the medication may lead to withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, nausea, pain, and sweating. You should gradually reduce the dose before stopping the medicine completely.
Sengab-NT Tablet may increase appetite, leading to potential weight gain. However, preventing weight gain is easier than losing the increased weight. Maintain a healthy balanced diet without increasing portion sizes per meal. Avoid high calorie foods like soft drinks, oily food, chips, cakes, biscuits, and sweets. If hungry between meals, opt for fruits, vegetables, and low-calorie alternatives instead of junk food. Regular exercise can also prevent weight gain.

The most commonly reported problems include decreased libido, erectile dysfunction (difficulty maintaining or developing erection during sexual activity), and difficulty achieving orgasm. It can also decrease satisfaction and cause discomfort during intercourse. If you experience these issues, talk to your doctor, but do not stop taking Sengab-NT Tablet.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following: significant changes in body temperature, difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat (palpitation), weakness, unsteadiness when walking, reduced coordination, or slowed reactions; unusual mood or behavior changes like confusion, blurred vision, dizziness, body temperature fluctuations (high and low), difficulty breathing, or increased heart rate.
