Senfudol M Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that is effective against a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections. In children, it is used to treat infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again become resistant or cause another infection.
Senfudol M Oral Suspension is an antibiotic having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.
If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if your child experiences an altered taste. Do not give any calcium magnesium iron vitamin or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Senfudol M Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again become resistant or cause another infection. Discontinue Senfudol M Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash itchy skin swelling of face and mouth or has difficulty in breathing. Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.
If you suspect your child has received an excessive dose of Senfudol M Oral Suspension, seek immediate medical attention. While an extra dose is unlikely to cause harm, it may increase the risk of adverse effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Consult a doctor if you notice any of these symptoms.
