Scotzest 100mg Tablet is a natural female sex hormone, progesterone, used to treat menstrual and pregnancy-related issues caused by hormonal imbalance.

Scotzest 100mg Tablet is also prescribed along with estrogen as a part of hormonal replacement therapy for preventing endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the lining of the uterus). It should be taken with food and at the same time each day to get the most benefit. Common side effects include headache, breast pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, stomach or abdominal cramps, bloating, nausea and vomiting, hair loss, edema, and vaginal yeast infection. Side effects are more common during the first few weeks and usually lessen as your body gets used to the medicine. Consult your doctor if you experience frequent bleeding or spotting between periods. Inform your doctor if you have or have had breast cancer, unusual vaginal bleeding, or liver disease. Avoid alcohol and smoking.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Scotzest 100mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Scotzest 100mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Scotzest 100mg Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.
