This device is particularly useful in radial nerve palsy, as well as for individuals with spastic hand, rheumatic, or arthritic diseases. The orthosis holds the affected hand in a neutral position, preventing the palm from bending forward and reducing pressure on the median nerve. It also holds the wrist and MP joints of the fingers straight, reducing stress on muscles and tendons. The device contains a thick layer of foam padding that inhibits the growth of microorganisms, making it suitable for continuous use.
