How it works
Xylitol tastes sweet but unlike sugar, it is not converted in the mouth to acids that cause tooth decay. It reduces levels of decay-causing bacteria in saliva and also acts against some bacteria that cause tooth infections.

Chew sugar-free gum or suck on sugar-free hard candies to stimulate the flow of saliva. Breathe through your nose, not your mouth, and add moisture to the air at night with a room humidifier. Limit your caffeine intake because caffeine can make your mouth drier. Completely stop smoking or chewing tobacco.
